Not a big fan of Gag, but that's not a bad offer...

From last thread:

I don't see Edmonton as a viable trade partner. They are loaded on wings, not at C. We need centers.

Unless its a D+Wing for an upgrade on one of our wings. Or for a draft pick.

We shouldnt be giving up any of our roster D right now considering scoring isn't the problem.

I don't see Gagner or Horcoff as an upgrade over Kadri or Grabo.

What if we could get Bernier for less than we could trade Reimer? I know Reimer is more proven, and he battles hard, but his lack of athleticism scares me. It is not like Bernier has been awful. In fact he saved the Kings early in the season while Quick was struggling. Maybe we can use Reimer to get our #1 centre and trade for Bernier?

You will never get Bernier cheap enough for that to make sense. I would bet that he's worth more in a trade than Reimer.

I don't agree with that valuation, but it is what it is. People are really high on this Bernier guy.

I don't know about the so called lack of athleticism, that toe save on Bergeron in the playoffs looked pretty athletic to me.

I am more concerned with his rebound control and whether he has the mental make up. He was jittery in Game 7 when Boston got rolling when we needed the guy to be calm.

reimer showed a lot of athleticism this year i don't know what you are talking about with his lack of athleticism. if you are referring to the previous season before this, then yes, but only because allaire had him playing a certain style which is more conservative and playing the odds rather then allowing him to use his athleticism.

Kadri - Grabo - Colborne down the middle is a scary thought. Not sure Gagner makes it much better.

He's yet another undersized center who isn't great at draws.

Reimer+Grabo+2013 1st+Quality Prospect for Kopitar + Bernier

Goalies Id call a wash. Not sure if Grabo would be enough but that team is deep on center and it wouldnt hurt them too much. Im sure thats not enough for LA though.

+Grabos bad season hurts his value. Maybe make it a quality winger instead? Lupul?

Wouldn't bother me too much. The only thing that kind of sucks about that is that it looks like we won't be upgrading our wingers, then.

He was jittery the entire playoffs.

How many times did you see him bobble and/or completely lose the puck off a simple glove-hand save?

Bernier is an RFA you could offer sheet him

Over $1,682,194 to $3,364,391 - 2nd round pick
Over $3,364,391 to $5,046,585 - 1st round pick, 3rd

so the price can't be that high..I guess a 1st and 3rd is decent...but if it was say #21 and a 3rd...not bad
